I want to become a delegate on the Council of the Swiss Abroad because I believe it will provide a valuable opportunity to connect with my cultural roots while actively contributing to the Swiss community abroad. I am passionate about fostering ties among Swiss expatriates and bridging the gap between our heritage and our experiences in the U.S. My background in leadership and project management equips me to engage effectively with our local Swiss community, advocate for our collective interests, and promote cultural exchange.

I am a Swiss expatriate living in Camas, WA, where I have embraced the natural beauty and vibrant outdoor lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest. Married with three daughters, I initially moved to the U.S. with the intention of staying for only two years, but we fell in love with this region and feel more connected to nature here. My professional background includes leading a small team to develop software innovations for PC audio devices. While I appreciate my cultural roots, I have not yet engaged with Swiss associations, focusing instead on family and career. I recognize the importance of connecting with fellow Swiss expatriates and value the opportunity to represent our community. I believe that as a delegate on the Council of the Swiss Abroad, I can proactively contribute by advocating for Swiss interests, fostering community ties, and supporting cultural initiatives that resonate with both our heritage and our lives in the U.S.

Membership/Active involvement in Swiss Associations/groups

I have not yet pursued formal membership or active involvement in Swiss associations or groups since moving to the United States. While I deeply appreciate my Swiss heritage, my focus has primarily been on settling into our new lives in Camas, WA, adapting to the local culture, establishing my career, and raising my three daughters. Although I am aware of local Swiss communities, I have not yet engaged in their activities or events.
