Summary

Care deeply about what will be important to focus on for the next generations to come. In addition, I also believe that Swiss people living abroad need to be well represented as it is a growing percentage of the total Swiss population. Their voices need to be heard. Consequently, it is important to be part of the decision making or at least influence key political topics whenever possible.

I feel very attached to my birth country and would like to contribute to its future if possible. Representing Swiss citizens abroad would be an honor if offered the opportunity.

Born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland. I spent the first 30 years of my life in a commune called Meyrin. I played sports at regional level, was part of the local municipal music band and was active in politics at the city level. 

 

In parallel, I started to work for Hewlett-Packard there. After more than 10 years, I got transferred first to the United Kingdom between 1994 and 1997, and then to the United States starting at the end of 1997. Over the years, I also worked as a top executive for other multi-national companies like Cisco Systems, Inc. and BridgeWater Associates for examples.

I have been living in the USA for more than 30 years now, mostly in California, but also in Connecticut and more recently in Denver, Colorado. During all that time, I have stayed very connected with Switzerland, following politic and economic matters, voting and visiting friends and family frequently.

 

In closing, I have a long business experience negotiating difficult topics or influencing specific agendas with other parties which makes me a suitable candidate to represent the wide interests of the Swiss citizens living abroad.
