Detail
My name is Olivier Brack. I was born and raised in Lausanne, VD, Switzerland. I grew up in a grounded family of four, incl. my older sister who still lives in the suburb of Lausanne, where values like hard-working, dedication, kindness and compassion for others were central to our way of life. Since I was 14, this hard-working ethic helped me to understand that nothing is given unless you work hard and are dedicated to it. Working during my school vacations allowed me to buy my first car, rent my first apartment, pay for my vacations and so forth, but most importantly it showed me that nothing is given unless you fight for it. I graduated as a Mechanical-Electronic Engineer followed with an Executive MBA from the Business School of Lausanne, this education choices allowed me to travel the world through work experiences with several European and American companies for the past 40 years.
In 1989, I met my wife while working in Phoenix, AZ. We got married in 1992 and have celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary last October. Together, we backpacked around the world for 1.5 years (1990-1992), we lived in Switzerland for 12 years, Hong Kong for 3 and now the US for 17 years (Atlanta, GA for 15 & Weimar, TX for 2). Our daughter, now 31, was born in Switzerland, was 3 in HK, 15 when we moved to the US and now lives in San Antonio, TX with her family of four (soon to be five in early April). Every experiences and steps in my personal life & professional career allowed me to grasp life at its fullest, in terms of purpose in all decisions I made (always put God first, then family), quality time I shared (no regret, just enjoy the moment), compassion and respect for anyone less fortunate who fights daily to survive and be heard (anyone but also human & sex trafficking issues worldwide).
Wherever I go, I am proud to represent Switzerland, its values of quality & traditions, its democratic political status always admired abroad, its serenity and peaceful landscape and sceneries, its security way above what the rest of the world is experiencing, its world community heritage with major world organizations represented on our soil.
It will be an honor to represent Switzerland in the US and to share my extensive world experience with anyone who needs assistance, guidance, support, compassion and kindness.
