I love being involved in the Swiss community, meeting new people, and being an advocate. I enjoy public service and it’d be an honor to help represent and advocate for Swiss abroad.

Detail

I first ran for city parliament in Liestal (BL) at the age of 18–and while I wasn’t successful, I was eager to serve my community. I started by volunteering as a handball coach at my local sports club, then as an officer in the Swiss Armed Forces for 10+ years. After law school, I worked in the Bundeshaus where one of my duties was responding to questions and escalations from the public. Helping get people answers and get their voices heard by the right authorities who could help them was deeply satisfying to me. I think serving as a representative for expats around the US could be equally satisfying and familiar for me. 

Despite loving my job and life in Switzerland, I moved to the US in 2023 with my American wife to settle in San Francisco. Now that we’re starting a family, staying engrained with the Swiss community and culture is even more important to me. I serve as Board Member and Treasurer for the Golden Gate Swiss Club, but would love to serve the broader expat community too.
