Helena Claesson
Consular District: Atlanta

Summary
I'm one of few active Swiss artists in the United States as I've worked as a professional musician for 10+ years. I'm very used to community building and actively working towards building something, and am always excited to connect with other Swiss people in the area I'm touring in. In this capacity I've also served on advisory councils for Lincoln Center in and Manhattan School of Music in New York City.

Detail
Born to Swedish parents in Zurich, Switzerland, Helena Claesson, as her artistic alter ego Helena Hallberg, has been called "Internationally Swiss: Like a Swiss Army Knife made in Sweden" (Ticketcorner Magazine).
Moving to New York City thanks to a scholarship to Manhattan School of Music in 2016, she served as an advisory council member at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts as well as an alumni board member at Manhattan School of Music, furthering the interests of musicians, students and performers.
Relocating to Nashville in 2023, Claesson (as Hallberg) tours actively through the US and Europe.
A voting member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), she has participated as a panelist at Folk Alliance International and Americana Fest, speaking on topics including women's empowerment in the music industry and her appreciation for her favorite American folk instrument: the Appalachian dulcimer.
Through her work in commercial audio, Helena became the Swiss German voice of Cortana, which is now the standard voice used for AI-generated, Swiss German content. If the cash register calls your number, you might just be hearing Helena.
